Protected Lands
Ag + Open Space works strategically to acquire important open spaces throughout Sonoma County, including lands that are near or adjacent to other protected lands, such as conserved privately owned land or public parks. In this way, we can keep similar land uses, such as agriculture, together; maintain connectivity of natural habitats and wildlife corridors; and increase access to public parks and recreational areas.
