Protected by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space in 2002, the Keen property is a stunning conservation easement. This hike offers views of ancient lava flows, native plants, and the surrounding Mayacamas Mountains. It covers fire-affected landscapes, showing resilience after the 2017 fires.
The hike is for experienced hikers due to steep and uneven terrain. Bring long pants, sturdy footwear, and water.
There is no charge, thanks to Ag + Open Space funded by Sonoma County taxpayers through a quarter-cent sales tax.
Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
