Salesforce -based Grants Management Platform
In 1990, the voters of Sonoma County created Ag + Open Space to protect the greenbelts, scenic views, farms and ranches and natural areas of Sonoma County. As part of our evolving land conservation efforts, Ag + Open Space manages both incoming and outgoing grants. This includes grants we seek from various external sources to further our mission as well as funds we award to local partners that support conservation-related community projects. To streamline and modernize these processes, we are seeking proposals for the development and implementation of a customized Salesforce-based Grants Management System. This system will enable us to centralize and track the full lifecycle of a grant, enhancing transparency, efficiency and accountability, and ultimately allow us to better serve our partners and the public. Additionally, we have successfully integrated LOCATE, a land conservation data system built on Salesforce, into our organization’s operations for the tracking of property-specific conservation projects, stewardship activities, and landowner and partner engagement.
Ag + Open Space is soliciting proposals for the customization, implementation and integration of a Grants Management System on our existing Salesforce instance. The new Grants Management System will need to seamlessly integrate with LOCATE to enable staff to track and report on grant activities tied to specific projects or properties. In addition, the new Grants Management System will be configured to read and store data from our accounting system, the County’s Oracle PeopleSoft-based Enterprise Financial Systems
(EFS), to ensure efficient data sharing, financial tracking and streamlined workflows across departments. This interconnected approach will help us improve and maintain accuracy, responsiveness, transparency, and efficiency in managing both conservation and grant-related activities.
