Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District

Volunteer Patrol

Our Volunteer Patrols are generally comprised of neighbors and other community members who are interested in helping to steward and protect a particular picturesque property. Observations and insights from the Patrol provide valuable information, allowing the District to better manage and protect the property.

Goals of the Volunteer Patrol

  • Monitor the property and communicate conditions, issues, and opportunities
  • Strengthen a constituency supporting the property
  • Represent the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District
  • Control access to the property
  • Educate those who trespass – both deliberately and accidentally – of the policies and opportunities for access and/or stewardship activities

The District is currently recruiting volunteer patrollers at Calabazas Creek Open Space Preserve only. Fill out this Volunteer Interest Form if you are interested in joining the Calabazas Creek Volunteer Patrol.

Current patrollers, after your hike please submit this report card below!
