Explore the 960-acre Saddle Mountain preserve in the Mayacamas Range, guided by Tony Passantino and Sonoma AG. + Open Spaces’s Stewardship Specialist and preserve manager Monica Delmartini. Learn about post-fire ecology and forest resilience in California. The 4-mile hike covers moderate to strenuous terrain, with possible water crossings. This outing is free, thanks to Ag + Open Space funded by a quarter-cent sales tax by Sonoma County voters.

Difficulty: HARD, with elevation gain up to 1000 ft on steep fire roads and uneven terrain.
