Climate Crisis Series: Fire Ecology Hike at Calabazas Creek

Date: March 29, 2020
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Location: Calabazas Creek and Open Preserve

LandPaths and Ag + Open Space invite you to a day of fire ecology at Calabazas Creek. Co-hosted by Monica Delmartini, resident fire ecologist for Ag + Open Space, participants will hear more about climate change in relation to our local landscapes.

At Calabazas Creek Open Space Preserve, we’ll discuss how practices like prescribed burning, selective forest thinning, and grazing can be used to increase the resiliency of natural lands to the changing climate, encourage biodiversity and health, and help protect the lands we love and depend on from the impacts of wildfire and major weather events.

This event is FREE but requires an RSVP. Click here to register >>
