Art in the Garden Day on Halloween with Sonoma Ecology Center

Date: Saturday, October 31
Time: 12:30 – 2:00 pm
Location: Sonoma Garden Park

Adults and children of all ages are welcome to join a 90-minute workshop to explore the autumnal bounty and create your own fall crafts. This workshop is free, and materials are provided. Safest COVID protocols will ensure small group activity stations. Paint, build, shape, weave, and create to your heart’s desire. Autumn’s magical muse is calling and the full “Blue Moon” lights our imaginations! Will it be a centerpiece to display, an altarpiece for a loved one for Dia de Los Muertos, a mask to wear, or a gift to give? Demonstrations are offered, yet you will be the creator of your artistic destiny on All Hallows Eve!

Participants under the age of 12 must have an adult chaperone. Masks required. Bring a water bottle.

Registration is required to ensure events are in compliance with Sonoma County’s Health Order governing outdoor recreation. Sign up here >>

The workshop will also be streamed live, if you’d like to join from home. At the start of the event, join the Zoom live feed here >>

Sonoma Garden Park was protected by Ag + Open Space in November of 2011 for recreation and preservation of its natural resources and learning classroom environment for agriculture field trips for nearby elementary schools through Sonoma Ecology Center’s “Growing Discovery” program. The 6-acre property, hidden in eastern Sonoma, is an incredible public park and working garden site in Sonoma Valley, containing a wide array of habitats alongside sustainably designed systems for both agriculture use and landscaping purposes.

For more information, contact Tony Passantino at tony@sonomaecologycenter.org.

There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
