Summit Sunday: McCormick Ranch

Join Sonoma Land Trust and Ag + Open Space and the amazing Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Volunteers on a hike from Sugarloaf State Park to Hood Mountain Regional Park through the new McCormick Ranch addition. This will be a VERY STRENUOUS hike (approximately 11 miles with 3,200 ft. of elevation gain). It will be like climbing to the top of Bald Mountain twice!

In 2024, Sonoma Land Trust partnered with various organizations to acquire 654 acres of the historic McCormick Ranch. Adding protected land of ecological importance to the Marin Coast–Blue Ridge Critical Linkage. The new McCormick Ranch addition will be added to Hood Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve.

There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax
