Designation of Trail Corridors and Associated Staging Areas

The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District holds both a conservation easement and a public trail easement on the Bordessa Ranch property near Valley Ford. This coastal prairie property along the Estero Americano hosts a variety of wildlife species, including burrowing owls and short-eared owls.

The County of Sonoma, working with Ag + Open space, has released a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Designation of Trail Corridors and Associated Staging Areas and Construction and Operation of Recreational Amenities Project. The public review period is December 11, 2019 – January 27, 2020. For more information, please see Notice of Completion.
