Grab your binoculars and join the District, LandPaths and the Petaluma Wetlands Alliance for an all-access outing at Shollenberger Park and Alman Marsh in Petaluma geared towards all folks on foot and in wheels (balance bikes, strollers, walkers and wheelchairs). This outing is for folks interested in taking a leisurely pace with many stops to enjoy the wildlife as we roll/walk around the wetlands. Docents from the Petaluma Wetlands Alliance (PWA) will guide us in finding and identifying the various birds that congregate to this “birding hotspot.” Binoculars will be available to borrow. We’ll tell the stories of the Petaluma Marsh throughout the past decades, as we see firsthand the importance of this biologically diverse ecosystem. This is a family friendly and ADA-accessible outing.

Location: Alman Marsh & Shollenberger Park
Level of difficulty: Easy — 1-2 miles, flat all-access terrain
Leader: LandPaths staff and docents from Petaluma Wetlands Alliance
