Come out and volunteer with Russian Riverkeeper and other dedicated volunteers working to restore this once lush riparian parcel turned abandoned tent cabin resort back to its natural state. The property was donated to Riverkeeper in 2005, who intends not only to restore the health of the riparian property, but to provide a new park, offering residents and visitors of Sonoma County a unique opportunity to enjoy and learn about the river - all at the same time. Riverkeeper’s unique vision of a demonstration park seeks to educate property owners and future generations on proper stewardship of riparian habitat, and may include such features as informational kiosks, a children’s play area, a floating classroom dock and even an amphitheatre. Plans for the park have been released and can be reviewed on Riverkeeper’s website.
