Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District

Hayfork Ranch

The Hayfork Ranch conservation easement is bordered by the District-owned 960-acre Saddle Mountain Open Space Preserve to the east and south in east Santa Rosa. Oak and douglas fir woodland, meadows, springs, ponds, and riparian vegetation on Hayfork and the surrounding protected lands provide habitat for many wildlife species and expand the area for wildlife to wander and thrive. One of the only populations in the world of Clara Hunt milk vetch, an endangered plant, is located on the property also.
