Our volunteers contribute to our success in many ways, most notably by assisting our Stewardship Program with monitoring our conservation easements and fee properties. Trained volunteers are assigned properties to monitor; this includes visiting these properties on a regular basis, interacting with the landowners, documenting changes with photos, and filling out reports describing the property's condition. Volunteers are also key participants in District-sponsored workdays on District-owned lands. In short, our volunteers are an important part of our mission.
