The District features a broad range of programs to help the County fulfill its goals of preserving the land and providing healthy open spaces for generations to enjoy.
Join us on one of our free outings! We offer a number of hikes that allow you a sneak preview of properties that will eventually become part of the local, regional, or state park systems. Our partners, such as LandPaths or the Sonoma Ecology Center, run these outings, and their staff create innovative and exciting themes for each outing, often offering experts (naturalists, historians, photographers, etc.) as guests to lead discussions on the hike. The outings are published quarterly on our website calendar. Don’t miss out on a chance to experience the beautiful scenery, learn something new, and really get to know the land!
