Characterized by a mix of oak, bay and madrone forest with a thick undergrowth of chaparral brush, this site has been designated a “forever wild” conservation area. This has been transferred to State Parks and is now an active part of Jack London State Park with hiking trails and a portion of the Bay Area Ridge Trail traversing it.
