Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District

Eliot and Lupine Hill

Eliot and Lupine Hill

These two connected properties are located on a highly visible, south-facing hillside of Sonoma Mountain. From the top of the site there is a stunning panoramic view of southern Sonoma County, and on a clear day, San Francisco. Open grassland and oak woodland roll down to Carriger Creek, which supports the most extensive run of steelhead trout in the Sonoma Creek system. An easement over both properties was donated to the District—and the people of Sonoma County— by the Eliot family.
