Dickson Ranch is part of a ring of wetlands that support a wide variety of animal and plant species at the edge of the Bay south of Highway 37. Its diverse wetlands ecosystem makes it a unique property protected by a conservation easement and owned by the Sonoma Land Trust. It will be part of the most significant wetland restoration projects to occur anywhere in the San Francisco Bay to date. Eventually, two miles of the San Francisco Bay Trail will traverse the site’s northern edge. This trail also will connect to an adjoining property linking it to the mouth of the Petaluma River.
